Starting out in my MLM business it didn’t take too long to understand I was not going to build a massive MLM downline using old-school methods. I never intended on annoying my friends and family about my opportunity from the start. I knew the little ol’ list of friends and family was a waste of my time. I had a bigger vision than that anyway. First off, the internet was the obvious choice in marketing my business. Number two I was very tight on funds. No way was I going to do pay-per-click even if I could afford it.

Soon I found lots of various methods of building a MLM Downline on the Internet it made my head spin. After months of  bouncing around with different methods and I finally found out how to combine blogging, article marketing and search engine optimization techniques, oh yah and video marketing. I know it’s a mouthful and it is a lot of work, but I had more time than money. The great thing is all the bouncing around I did with different methods ended up being the stepping  After that I knew I had to learn all the various ways of getting my website ranked so that people could see me. So, nothing else mattered after I locked down and understood the principles and methods of driving traffic to my blog. I believe firmly in finding what way of marketing suits you and concentrate on it and go after it with everything you got!

Lets talk about what practical steps you can take to succeed in your mlm downline building. The first thing is to get a blog setup for yourself. It doesn’t matter if you use social marketing methods like facebook, twitter, ect. You still should to have a web site that you can direct people to see what you have for them. There are all kinds types of blogs including lots of free ones around, like blogger and squidoo. I personally like the paid versions of wordpress blogs not the free versions. The reason being is that it is yours and you have complete control over it.

After getting a blog set up the next step is driving traffic to it. There are principles that drive traffic to site that first need to be understood. I will quickly list them: relevancy, popularity, original content and social media outlets. Pretty much wherever you can get links back to your blog. Then there are methods that drive the traffic your way. There is Article marketing, video marketing, social media, social bookmarking, press releases, and even offline strategies.

I can’t tell you how critical it is in the network marketing business to bring value to people. Writing articles are wonderful and probably one the most effective way of building a MLM downline on the web. You can scatter your articles with rather inexpensive tools and are used to rank your blog or your youtube videos higher up in the search engines. There are also tools that submit your videos and articles to a number of places and also help rank your blog so more people can see it. Blogging may not be for you. It can be a great way to attract more people into your mlm downline.

Really there is far too much information to go threw to explain each one of these concepts in an article. I just wanted to give a good starting point for you to be familiar with what is available to you on the web and maybe give you with a good place to start. It seemsoverwhelming to begin with but once you know the principles and methods that can drive traffic it will become natural to you. Before you know it you will have built a massive mlm downline.
